History: The Lieutenant-Colonel John Weir Foote, VC, CD Armoury was officially recognized as a National Historic Site in 1989. Here is a link to an article about the Armoury on Canada's Historic Places website. Here is a link to Lieutenant-Colonel Foote's biography on the National Defence website.
