Strabane United Church

History: Strabane United Church was founded as Nairn Presbyterian Church in 1847 and a stone building was erected in 1877. It became Strabane Presbyterian in 1879 and became Strabane United Church in 1925 at the time of church union.
Inscription on monument: Erected by the patriotic citizens of Strabane to perpetuate the memory of our five gallant sons, killed in France. The men commemorated are Stephen Duckhouse, Achilles Herbert Hearn, Percival Andrew Maddaugh (also served as John Maddaugh), Leonard Peterson (spelled Petterson on the monument), and William Stanley Rodgers.
